Some finished projects and bunches of books
I finally finished Grace! Now all I have to do is block it.
My DH bought me a woolly board and it should be here before Christmas. Here’s some pictures with the ends tacked down with sewing pins just to give you an idea of what it looks like finished. I was surprised that I didn’t use all 20 skeins of yarn I bought. The pattern used about 10 skeins ![]()
on the fronts and back alone and then I only used 3 1/4 on the arms and edging. Now I have to figure out what to do with the remaining yarn…I could make a hat, but I’ve never seen Christy wear a winter hat, or beanie, so that’s out…hmmm… I’ll have to think on that one for a while…

I also completed a scarf for my Secret Pal. I liked the color of the yarn and the thick and thin texture is shown off particularly well with this pattern. The stitch is a herringbone and very easy to memorize.
A few weeks ago my family and I went down to Little Rock to the Leisure Arts Sale. They clear out all the books and scrapbook stuff at 80% off!
We bought about $400 worth of books for only $70! Can you believe that?! My favorite find is Shadow Knitting by Vivian Hoxbro.
