I’m Back!

We had a blast at Silver Dollar City! Two days of rides, food, shopping, food, lots and lots of walking up and down hills, and did I mention food? I ate more in two days than I do in a week at home, ha,ha! The kiddos had a blast and wanted to go again on Sunday, but DH and I were so worn out we decided to come home that morning. Have you ever walked so much you can’t get out of bed the next morning?! My calves still hurt! I guess I need to exercise more, I’m a marshmallow ;)

My Darling Hubby and I celebrated our 12th Anniversary over the weekend and he took me to Cecilia’s Samplers to pick out some things, that way I’m sure to get what I want, hee, hee.

If you’re ever in Branson, MO, you really need to get down to Cecilia’s Samplers. This is a beautiful shop. They have mainly cross stitch, embroidery and the like but they also have a very nice selection of high-end yarn, patterns, needles and other knitting accessories. Another thing I thought was neat was that they had a little T.V./DVD player in the back with the “I Can’t Believe I’m Knitting” video ready for anyone who wants to learn and they’ll help you pick out your yarn and needles, sit you down in front of the T.V. and voila! You’ll learn knitting and you don’t have to make an appointment for classes.

Sue waited on me and I must say she was SO helpful! What great service! Here’s a pic of all the goodies I bought:

Goodies

3 skeins of verigated embroidery cotton for a chess board sampler pattern I got from Cross Country Stitching

Milkpaint Sampler from “Remember The Ladies” collection

Lacy Tank Top Pattern w/5 skeins of Royal Bamboo yarn from Plymoth Yarns

So, with all that, I gotta say I had a great Anniversary! I got a little ways on my Jigsaw socks, realized they were too small and ripped them out again and will have to either cast-on more stitches or buy size 2 needles.

Hope you all have a great week, keep on knitting!
