Felted Diaper Bag

I know I haven’t gotten the tulip socks started yet, sorry, but I just can’t yet ’cause I just have to make this super cute diaper bag from Knit It Felt It Also, I bought a bunch of wool from my LYS and what better project for 100% wool yarn than a felted one?
I have gotten a few more rows done on my scarf, it’s very slow going, but then I never expected it to be a quick project.
Oh! I almost forgot to tell of my latest class. I had three students today, and they’re learning to make the Fresco tank top. We got the sizing figured out, and a little ways on the ribbing. It’s k2,p2, which is not easy if you’ve hardly ever done any ribbing of any kind, but these ladies are so great! One of them hadn’t learned the purl stitch, and yet there she was purling away, and on top of that, all three learned to knit in the round today! They are a great bunch of ladies and so patient with me! I’m very thankful to them all for allowing me to share what I know of this fiber art :) And thanks to Jeanie for helping me out today, too!

I agree about knitting with wool–it’s so much fun to felt! I just finished a felted pig and was so happy with how he turned out that I’m making a felted piglet with my extra yarn.

I also agree that k2, p2 can be quite tedious. The white part of the baby sweater I just made was supposed to be ribbing, but I did a garter stitch instead, mostly because I liked the way it looked, but also to avoid ribbing.

Can’t wait to see the diaper bag!

    XO,
    Jill
