Here’s Some Things I’ve Been Lookin’ At…

I haven’t had anything on my needles in a week or more (gasp!), I’m in a knitting slump and hoping my friends at the House of Yarn will pull me out of it this weekend (I am teaching a sock class). So, instead of my knitting, I thought I’d search and find some other knitting and things that would be so much more interesting :)

Lion Brand has a few little videos on You Tube about different knitting techniques. Go to You Tube and type in “Lion Brand Yarn” to get the whole list of videos. There’s a couple of other blogs I found with good tips and tricks:
Knitmodo and Crochetmodo has some good links for sock knitters and then there is Wild n Wooly tells you how to make a decrease in a sweater armhole. Nice picture and well written.
If you’re into knitting washclothes Tricotine has some awesome ones to knit. I especially like her “Lobsta washcloth”. I came across Dances With Wools is a great blog and she’s featured a beautiful mitered baby jacket pattern that I’m thinking about doing. She also has a really cool Midieval History blog also you might want to check out and see some great pictures of spinning, weaving and the like from the past.
For a good sock yarn store The Loopy Ewe has a huge assortment of yarns, patterns and accessories.

So have fun out there, knitting and crocheting!
