The Inspiration
From the moment I bought this coffee cup at my local roastery, I knew I wanted to make a skirt matching it. It reminds me of a mint ice cream sandwich, you know the kind with the dark chocolate cookie “bread” and the mint green ice cream in the middle. I am making a pattern for a top to match the skirt and will start it very soon.
Other than the skirt project, I have finished another pair of Big Black Socks for the Socks For Soldiers group:

I love it! I love the skirt and I love the mug! My hubby keeps telling me that I look like a neopolitan based on my wearing my brown sweater with my pink capris or my pink sweater with my brown gouchos. At least I am not the only one whose knit wear remind people of food…
