This and That

I’ve been working on a number of things “knitty” lately, like my spring green skirt, some Soldier Socks, and even more recently, a snood. What is a snood? Well, it’s a lacy hair net type thing. Ladies wore them as long ago as the Renaissance and they are still worn today . My Mom and my Aunt always wore a bandana on their head to cover their hair, but I can’t stand the look of them. I mean, I already live in a double wide trailer manufactered home, and I just don’t want to look like the stereotype, ha,ha,ha! I want something to keep my long hair out of the way, and yet look feminine. The snood I’m working on is from yesterknits . I’m making it out of black fingering weight wool on size 13 needles. It’s very easy to memorize, and really quick to work up.
